WW2 British No69 Hand Grenade

WW2 British No69 Hand Grenade

The British No69 Grenade was used in WW2 as an offensive grenade, instead of the standard No36 Mills. The No69 was made of "Bakelite" which was not as lethal as the Steel Shell of the 36 Mills. The design is very simple and only requires the user to unscrew the cap and throw. As you will see there is no pin or "Fly Off Lever" the fuze is activated by the use of the "all ways Fuze" which unwinds in flight.
